Tehran residents consume 900,000 liters/day of high octane gasoline

TEHRAN (IRNA) — Motorists in Tehran consume about 900,000 liters of high octane gasoline daily, said head of the Oil Derivatives Distribution Company, Tehran Branch, Ali-Akbar Darbandi here on Wednesday.

Darbandi said high octane gasoline supply stood at about 167,900,000 liters in the first eight months of this year, showing 89 percent growth compared to the figure for the same period last year.

Furthermore, the supply of gasoline in Tehran stood at 3.121 billion liters in the eight months to `Aban' (the 8th month in the Iranian calendar which started in March), showing one percent growth compared to the figure for the corresponding period the year before.
